Eyesore or saviour?
welcome to a very exciting show, were artist meets polictics and allows artists the chance to takle a very highly charged issue.
In conjuction with Swansea arts forum and the Renewable energy foundation Exposure gallery host a nation wide competion allowing artists to express views and opions on renewable energy.
There were three cash prizes up for grabs 1st £500, 2nd £200 and 3rd £100.
All the work was sent to exposure, then nine finalists were selected by curator Laura Bishop. Juging was then split between Timm prosser Swansea arts forum, Laura Bishop exposure , Campbell renewable energy foundation..
Winner was Daniel Staveley "do you consume more than you need"
" i am very pleased to have been selected the winner as this subject is close to my heart and have tried for many years to express my views through photography"
2nd place went to John Howes "coming to a landscape near you" with a fantastic installation of wind turbines.
3rd louise Atkinson " 4 way" a huge plug made from textiles.
