Amanda Roberts

To date
To date my work has concentrated exclusively on people, and the human form. This includes portraiture and an exploration of life drawing, and the life drawing room. My current project is based on a personal exploration of the domestic.
Although my work uses a variety of materials and media, and often has a conceptual basis, I consider myself, fundamentally a figurative artist. My formal art education at Camarthen and Swansea instilled a fascination and respect of traditional formal elements and a deep rooted love of drawing, these remain a constant in my work.
Previously teaching in further education, I am now a full time mother and working artist.
